salome -k: kill all salome processes for any versions!!

Posted by Christophe Trophime at August 31. 2018

Hi,
I've run into a "strnge" problem.
On my machine I have several versions of salome installed.
If I start multiple sessions of the different versions of salome and then run  a "salome -k" in a shell

then it kills all the "salome" instances... not only the ones that have the same versions as the one from which I issue the -k command.

This behaviour is really annoying and even more annoying as it seems to also happens when running salome in containers.

Can you confirm this behaviour or not?
I would like to make sure that this is need due to a missconfiguration of my salome install.

Best
C
