Looking at cross section of mesh

Posted by Susan Tully at April 26. 2013

Hello,

I am searching for a way to look inside a meshed volume. Something where I can slice through my geometry with a plane and then look at the mesh distribution at that plain. Does this functionality exost in Salome 6.6?

I have found MeshCut but this seems to be designed more for splitting my mesh into parts and generating additional files. I also found cut planes in post-pro but this doesnt seem to work for just looking at the mesh.

Anyone have any ideas? Or can point out a function I am missing?

Many thanks in advance!

Susan

Hi Susan

Clipping functionality is probably what you look for. It is available in a pop-up menu of a mesh shown in the Viewer. I.e. you need to show your mesh, select it and press right mouse in the Viewer.
