Modeling tip needed
-
Hello all,
Suppose I want to create a solid model of a pipe flange that has 6 bolt holes. If I model the flange as a flat hollow cylinder, do I have to do a Boolean subtraction with a "cutting" cylinder 6 separate and successive times to create the final flange with 6 holes?
OR
Can I draw one "cutting" cylinder (meant to be the subtraction "cutting" object), replicate it in a circular pattern 60 degrees apart, then somehow combine all 6 into one entity (a compound? or something similar) then do the Boolean subtraction ("cutting"
only ONCE to get the final flange with all six holes?
Any help will be appreciated! Thanks
