I am trying to read in some surface mesh files generated by MeVisLab.  I have written a python routine to read a .ply file, so I can easily know the coordinates of each vertex and the connectivity of each triangle.  However, I would like to load this into Salome as geometry (not mesh) so that a solid mesh can then be created.  Is this possible?  If not, is there some way I can convert my data to IGES or STEP format?  MeVisLab can save as any of .off, .geom, .obj, .ply, .stl, or .wem, but so far I have not found a method to convert any of these to a format compatible with Salome.
