import a hdf file in another hdf file
Hello everyone,
I am a new user of Salome software. I managed to design a 3D geometry of the structure that I want to modelate (a LED in fact). In another file I made the heat sink on which the LED will stay (thermal management reasons).
1) How can I put together this two geometries? I am using Salome 6.4.0 on Windows.
2) How do I obtain a .unv file from Salome in order to be used by another program called Elmer ?
Best regards,
Bogdan.
Hello Bogdan.
1) How can I put together this two geometries?
Via export / import in brep format.
Then unite them using either Fuse or Partition, or just create a Compound geometry (just a collection of geometries) if they don't touch each other.
2) How do I obtain a .unv file from Salome in order to be used by another program called Elmer ?
Create a mesh on a united geometry, use e.g. Netgen 1D-2D-3D or Netgen 1D-2D meshing algorithm (if you need 2D mesh only), compute the mesh and export it to UNV file.
