I am a newbie to salome. I would like to get the detailed theory of mesh control specific to salome. I cant now figure out which meshing/hypothesis/algorithm is suitable for a particular problem.

The meshing theory of Salome is not available anywhere.
If you describe your need in detail, you can get an advice for your particular problem.
