MESHing the surface of an object

Posted by tony smith at April 15. 2013

I would like to MESH only the top surface of a sphere or a box 3D object.

Aside from looking through help files, I have also tried using different algorithms but the meshing happens on either all the sides of the object or all edges.

Please can someone let me know how to do this or point me to a link in the documentation that might be of use?

I also wonder if I need to create a sub-mesh on the geometry object or can I extract a sub-mesh from the meshed object?

Thanks.

Hi tony smith

To mesh a sub-shape of a shape, you are to Explode the shape to get the sub-shape published, then create a mesh on the published sub-shape.
