I guess, P0 means cell based field, P1 means point based field. Am I right?

You are right. A PO field is defined over the cell. A P1 field is defined over the vertices of the meshes; it is the case when a degree 1 discretization is used in a finite element method. Last, a P2 field is defined over the vertices and the midpoints of the edges of the meshes.
