Hi. When working with orthotropic plate/shell elements in Code-Aster it is necessary to define the reference direction for specifying the fibre angle. This can be done via a coordinate system, but Code-Aster's default behaviour is to use the first edge of each 2D element as the reference direction. In SalomE it is possible to alter the surface normal of an element but it is not possible to change the node ordering, such that the first edge of each element can be prescribed. It seems like a fairly simple feature to add. An option to align the first edge to a particular vector would be perfect. Could someone please advise, when this might be done?
