Clipping does not show correct mesh

Posted by Dharmit Thakore at March 10. 2013

Hi All,

I partitioned the geometry at locations where I want clipping planes.

Then I meshed that geometry as Tetrahedral mesh.

Below is the mesh without clipping (Attached screenshot).  I have added lines in Gimp to highlight the partition.

The problem is that after I add clipping plane, I am not able to see a straight surface at the clipping plane. (I will put the error span shot as a reply to this post).

Any reason why?

Thanks

Dharmit

And this is the screenshot after clipping.

Any clues.

Thanks

Hello,

Well, I guess the elements touching your cliping plane are not displayed. So if you displace slightly your plane "outward", it should do what you expected...

Regards,

William

Hi William,

Using 0.495 instead of 0.5 works like a charm.

Sorry I was not able to write earlier.

Cheers

Dharmit
