How to fix Error "<F>_NO_COMM_FILE"

Posted by Paul Leavitt at February 29. 2012

I'm fairly new to Salome, but I have gotten several different projects to work. However, on this last one I've been working on, Aster keeps giving me the "<F>_NO_COMM_FILE" Error, and I can't figure out how to resolve it. When I right click on it and select edit, it shows that it's seeing the Comm file on the disk, and it has the right one. So I thought that maybe the comm file was blank, or missing some information that was required. But when I opened it up, it looked just like the other Comm files on my drive.

Does anybody know what could be causing this? I'm running Salome 6.3.0 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on an AMD 6 core computer.
