Re: Bi-dimensional question about Aster

Hello everyone,

I am a novice user with a suite SalomeMeca. I tried to create asimple flat plate on which can apply pressure, and then study its effects. But I met a problem about the definition of the faceon which to apply the load (the load of course must beorthogonal to the face). I exploded in the geometry (nodes, edges and vertex), I created the form MESH groups of nodes, edges and faces, but Aster, in the study of Plane Stress, allows me to only select groups of edges, and do not face groups I would like.

I attach my hdf file.

I wish you could help me, and when i'll be able enough,  I'll also contribute to the growth of the notions of community.

Greetings

Handballer

Plane stress requires a linear force N/m, whereas pressure is N/m^2.
