I understood that a new version of Salome is on the road.

Is there a program for a date of release? Will this release be available for all as the current tree 5.x?

Yes the V6.3.0 is on the rail. The planned release date is May (2011). It will be available for all and the public git repositories will be updates with the new sources.

The final testing phase is about to finish. Now it is just a matter of days before the release of the version 6.3.0.

Be aware that Thursday is day off and most of developers in France won't work on Friday as well.

Personally I'm confident for a release next week I know this won't be May, sorry for this (short) delay

Will this new release include an easy installation on Windows 7 64, notably a workaround for the appdata directory which path has been changed to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming causing compilation errors?

I don't know how the windows version will be packed. Until now this was not a officially supported version and was offered as a personal work of porting from Erwan ADAM. But I'm pretty sure that Erwan will look closely at this problem, if he is aware of it

By the way, the version 6.3.0 was published yesterday internally at CEA and EDF. The public version should come in the nearest days (the update of the copyrights is in progress).
