SALOME 6.5 on Mac OS X

Posted by Ashkan Rafiee at June 22. 2012

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any binaries for installing SALOME 6.5 on Mac OS X (Snowleopard)?

Many thanks

Ashkan

To add to previous request, I also would be interested in having Salome on a Mac. I would be fine with a supported source distribution that can be compiled on Mac OS X.

Thanks.

I would be interested in this too.  It looks like there was some effort made years ago.  Anyone know what happened to that?

Hi,

I'm thinking of using MacPorts to port it to X11 anyone interested in doing this?  I may start the port file and see how it goes

I made an effort some years ago but it was around that time my macbook's power board fried.  I was unable to get a working binary.

For Salome 5.1.5, I've managed to get a working KERNEL module and YACS module. The GUI module was working (X11) without the VTK and OCC viewers ==> No GEOM and SMESH modules.

Now there is a Coca version of OCC, it means that we could even get a Cocoa version of Salome.

I'll take a quick glance at it during summer.
