Error - SIGSEGV 'segmentation violation' detected. Address 30.

I am getting this error after installing Salome 5 on LinuxMint Release 11 (katya). When i start salome and click on geometry, i get this error. If I say ok then I get 'Attempt to access to null object'. After this i have to go to system monitor to close the program. Can you help?

I know that's not a true answer, but you cannot use more recent versions ?

The binaries 6.4 work well on LMDE, even if I experience many crashes.

I notice this problem always occurs when presentations have been inadvertently generated in the Post Pro module.  The effects are; the complete inability to save, generate geometry, meshing or new result plots.

The problem is fixed by going directly into Post-Pro after opening an hdf file,  then deleting your presentations at the top level.  This does not remove any peviously generated result plots.

This is probably a bug, as presentations should not cause such instability.
