    Hi

    I'm Pacmister from Italy. I'm a student. I'd like to enjoy salome, but i'm a bit ignorant about Linux distribution: I'd like to know if I can install the salome Debian versione on my Kubuntu Laptop.

        I have installed Salome 2.2.8 on an Ubuntu Breezy PC.  So I believe it should be possible in Kubuntu as well.  See the detailed installation process that worked for me, in these forums.  Do a search for "Ubuntu" and look at: "http://www.salome-platform.org/forum/forum_9/thread_449". 

       

      Perhaps that can become a guideline for your setup.  There are other messages as well that will be useful.  Unfortunately there is no single collection that gives the setup for a Linux beginner, but that is one way to learn Linux!
