bcxx: Command not found
bcxx: Command not foundPosted by Umar Said at August 15. 2007I have salome 3.2.2 source and want to compile it on debian etch. After I untar it, I did not found any README nor INSTALL at the root directory of it. There were only many subdirectories. Then I decided to begin at the KERNEL. After running command build_configure then configure, I ran make. But my compilation stopped with error:
bcxx -nf -I./idl -I../salome/idl -nf -I./idl ../../idl/SALOME_Exception.idl
make: bcxx: Command not found
What is bcxx? I can't find it on Debian nor google. Or else, could anybody here give any hints to compile salome from source? TIA
Re: bcxx: Command not foundPosted by Vadim SANDLER at August 15. 2007Hello Umar,
The problem that omniidl binary has not been found by the configure procedure.
Please, check that omniORB and omniORBPy are installed properly and that you sourced the SALOME environment before running make.
Re: bcxx: Command not foundPosted by Umar Said at August 15. 2007Thanks Vadim,
The problem was caused by lack of omniidl command which is provided by omniidl4 package. When I installed the package, the problem disappear.
