Salome-MecaPosted by WG at April 05. 2008
Not sure if this is the right place to post. I installed Fedora 8 and installed Salome Meca. Install went OK but when I runSalomeMeca splash screen comes up with an error dialogue box. The dialogue reads "Can not load application library "libSalomeApp.so":libGLU.so.1 cannot open shared object file. No such file or directory.
It is not my machine but I think its 64bit Xeon with Nvidia Quadro FX 3400/4000 series video card. I installed the Nvidia drivers with 32 bit support as well. I saw there were nvidia issues in the 3.2.6 release notes but the my directory structures appear to be different than what the notes are asking for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try to install the mesa-libGLU package via your package manager or download it from there:

That worked perfectly! Thank you. I guess I was missing the i386 version of these since I have a 64bit set up huh?
Thank you so much,
