Checking Name Service

    I installed SALOME on Redhat 9.  When SALOME starts it the splash screen says Checking Name Service and never progresses beyond 0%.  Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

      I am quite new to Salome 2.2.8 installs and have successfully installed it in RH FC3, but am facing difficulties installing it in Ubuntu "Breezy".  Those troubles have given me a limited amount of experience in installing & running Salome.  Maybe I can help in a small way.

      I recommend posting any error messages that show up in the terminal window when you execute "{YourInstalDirPath}/KERNEL_2.2.8/bin/salome/runSalome" which would help us, help you...
