helps, please...
Salome install in the directory:/home/carlos/salome
the installation doesn't show errors
When it finishes the installation, go to the following step :
debian:/home/carlos/salome/KERNEL_2.2.8# source salome.sh
It shows the following error :
awk: program limit exceeded: sprintf buffer size=1020
FILENAME="-" FNR=1 NR=1
awk: program limit exceeded: sprintf buffer size=1020
FILENAME="-" FNR=1 NR=1
awk: program limit exceeded: sprintf buffer size=1020
FILENAME="-" FNR=1 NR=1
awk: program limit exceeded: sprintf buffer size=1020
FILENAME="-" FNR=1 NR=1
bash: printenv: No existe el fichero o el directorio
bash: awk: No existe el fichero o el directorio
bash: printenv: No existe el fichero o el directorio
bash: awk: No existe el fichero o el directorio
bash: printenv: No existe el fichero o el directorio
bash: awk: No existe el fichero o el directorio
debian:/home/carlos/salome/KERNEL_2.2.8#

Hi
You have to change the 2nd line of the file you are sourcing by this one:
out_var=`echo $1 $2 | awk -W sprintf=5060 -v dir=$3 '{ \Christophe

I followed your indications and these they are the results:
1. -Edit file salome.sh and modify the second it lines like you indicated.
2. - Execute source salome.sh and there was not any problem.
3. - Execute ./runSalome showing some screen messages, finishing the execution.
note: You doesn't load Salome.
4.- Execute again ./runSalome and it shows a message unknown command.
........
Today in the morning I attempted it in the following way again:
5.-Execute source salome.sh
6.-Execute ./runSalome and Load Salome.
Which the problem was because yesterday don't load and today if?
It excuses the curiosity.
I hope you comment me on this that System Linux would recommend your to execute Salome and Code-aster.
I have a Computer with the following ones characteristic:
PIV Intel 2.8Ghz
Ram: 512Mb
Card of Video: Nvidia-5500 - 128Mb - AGP
Hard disk: 80Gbyte.
