Insert a node between two nodes

Posted by Sergio Pluchinsky at October 14. 2020

Hi, I have created a mesh with some bad elements, so to fix it, first delete those bad elements, and now I need to fill the gaps with new ones. In this case they are cuadratic elements, so I need to put some new nodes in my mesh to became the middle nodes of the new elements. So, is there a way to insert a new node between two selected nodes?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I'd do it as follows. 1) Create linear elements.  2) Modification > Convert to quadratic  3) Modification > Transformation > Merge nodes

It´s work, thanks. Yesterday I was doing the same, but for changing to quadratic didn´t find a way to select just this new element, I though that as the original mesh was quadratic would cause some problem to re-transform it.
