cannot turn off propagation in 2d unstructured quad mesh

Posted by ziad at November 02. 2017

Hi,

I'm testing the Quadrangle Mapping algorithm on a simple square mesh. As far as I know all settings were done correctly and quadrangle parameters is set to Reduced, with edge element number limitations from the user's guide respected. I built four sub-meshes for the four edges of the square domain but it is impossible to set the element number differently on opposing edges. Whatever number of segments is set in the original mesh or either sub-mesh is automatically propagated. I suspect I'm missing a parameter somewhere but cannot figure out what it is. The study is attached. Any help is much appreciated...

Thanks,

Ziad

Okay, figured it out, just set different hypotheses on different edges. All quadrangle modes working as expected now...
