SALOME-9.6.0, linux: Automatic switch when study hits 3.6GB+ to multi-file save?

Posted by Gregor Simic at June 15. 2021

Hello, I have a study filled with a lot of meshes and when I try to save it it fails with the standard message box which suggests a lack of permission, space, etc... The solution of course is multi-file save.

Could there be an automatic switch from single-file to multi-file save? It is an inconvenience because when I work remotely on HPC-s where the filesystem might be a bit slow, it takes 10 minutes to save, and causes a small heart attack when I see the error message.

I know another solution is to have an army of studies, but alas the interface I use (developed) has GUI embedded too deeply.

Best regards,

Gregor Simic
