Exporting meshes from TUI: cleanup and number format

Posted by Nejc Jurkovic at March 28. 2019

Hello.

I create a mesh in a python script and export it with

mesh.ExportSTL(file_name, 1, sub_mesh)

That works OK but when I run the same script again, exporting fails. I suspect the mesh file is still open - I can't delete it in file manager because it says the file is being used by Salome. Should I close the file after exporting in TUI? I can overwrite it many times in GUI. Dumping study doesn't show any other commands but ExportSTL().

Also, STL files are exported with decimal commas instead of dots. I believe this has something to do with my system locale. Is there a setting somewhere in the configuration to change this? Changing "Use C locale" in Preferences > Salome > Language makes no difference.

Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for reporting these problems, the fix will be available with the next official SALOME release.
