Installing medcoupling via pip (a single line command)

Posted by Tianyi LI at July 03. 2019

If you are under Windows / Linux and having a Python 3.6 environment, you can now try using the following command to install medcoupling

See https://github.com/tianyikillua/medcoupling-pypi

The current binary version installed by pip is only sequential (without mpi) and is built without partitionner and renumbering to reduce dependencies.

A Python rewrapper https://github.com/tianyikillua/pymapping is also available for mapping data between two meshio-compatible meshes. meshio is a Python package that reads various mesh formats: abaqus, med, ansys, vtk, ...

Let me know (Github issues, or email) if you need help.

pip install -U medcoupling-pypi

I've removed the `-pypi` suffix

https://github.com/tianyikillua/medcoupling

So to install medcoupling, simply type

pip install -U medcoupling
